Liquid Lipstick Madness- Anastasia Beverly Hills & Hot Makeup Professionals

Liquid lipsticks have been a craze lately. Everyone wants long lasting, super pigmented, bold lips and Anastasia Beverly Hills released their highly anticipated Liquid Lipsticks late 2014.

If you watched my IMATS Haul, you would know I picked up a few of these after waiting 2 hours! Watch the Haul HERE.

The product is very pigmented and long lasting, but they will dry out your lips! Make sure to exfoliate and condition your lips before applying this product. You can add a little balm over it when dry to bring back moisture to your lips.

My favorite shades are Heathers and Bloodline, surprise surprise. I find these lippies to be nice.

If your expecting a hydrating long lasting lip product, keep looking, this is not it, but if you don't mind a little dehydration for longevity, then you've got your product.

I feel that the Sephora Lip Creams are very comparable to the Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks and the Sephora ones are only $13 vs. $20. So if your on a budget, check out Sephora. My favorite shades are 01 and 03.

Another lip discovery from IMATS is Hot Makeup Professionals and I'm in love with the gloss New Vogue. This is one of the most pigmented glosses I've tried and the longevity is good. It's not sticky or goopy.

I'm not usually a gloss fan, but Hot Makeup won me over on their gloss. Runway is their kiss me more lip cream and I find this such a beautiful creamy products in my favorite bold red shade.

Defiantly keep an eye out for Hot Makeup Professionals coming soon!

Will you be trying the Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks?

Holiday Sneak Peak From Sephora

As I check my e-mail with blurry eyes this morning in the 100 degree weather, I see that Sephora has released some of the holiday collections already! Anyone else still trying to get over this heat wave in L.A.?

Here are my picks that I'll be looking forward to, but not till it cools a bit:

Sephora Collection Airless Travel Kit $38
I always struggle with traveling and I feel like this kit would make things so much smoother.

First Aid Beauty Fab Faves To Go Kit $28
I'm a huge fan of First Aid Beauty and this kit is a great travel kit or starter kit for any folks interested in the brand.

Makeup Forever Artist Palette $42
Makeup Forever released their new formulated Artist Shadows recently, and I have to say they are to die for! I went a little crazy recently myself, but this palette is a perfect set for neutral eyes and a little pop of color.

Mia2 winter Hydration Set $149
Oh how winter does weird dry patchy things to my poor skin! This is really a great deal with some great products, and look how cute the teal Mia2 is!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette $58
I was a huge fan of the new dim infusion ambient lighting blush from hourglass and this is the perfect little trio for any makeup lover's kit.

Sephora Glitz & Glam Party Essentials Sampler $45
Such a cute little trial of a makeup products. I love this mini kits for gifts and stocking stuffers.

Glam Glow Gift Sexy $69
This is by far the best deal I saw in all the new holiday kits. You get a full size of the hydrating treatment and 2 smaller sizes of the popular masks. One of these full size products retail for almost $70!

What are you looking forward to this holiday season? Anything you see above going to make it on your wish list for Santa this year?

Dessert & Lip Color

I love a great cup of coffee and some fresh beignet. What I love more? When my lip color stays on after my coffee and dessert.

These beauties at only $13 each, are super pigmented, rich, long lasting, leaves a stain, and doesn't dry out your lips! What else could a girl ask for in a cream lip stain?

I own three and you can get yours here.

Shade #3 & #5 shown in picture. I also own shade #1 which is a pure red and just to die for.

What's your favorite long lasting lip color?

With fall approaching I'm excited to be wearing more reds and deeper shades on my lips. What are some of the trends your looking forward to?

XOXO

YSL Shocking Mascara Review

YSL Shocking Mascara Review
image
So I finally caved and gave this baby a try.
What Sephora says:
What it is:
A mascara that exaggerates lashes with excess volume from every angle.

What it does:
Exclusive to YSL, the amplified helix brush provides instant volume to the lashes. The slim brush design allows for perfect control and precision and the off-center twist enhances length and curl. The beautifully creamy formula with pro-vitamin B5 coats each lash evenly, creating a thick and lustrous fringe with a wet look.
What I Say:
This mascara defiantly is one of my new favorites. I love the classic brush vs. the typical plastic ones these days. The slim brush also is easy to work with. The mascara itself is very wet and stays wet looking, so you don’t get the caked on dry look at all. I get good length and volume as well with the brush and formula.
Worth the price?
At $30 this is the priciest mascara I’ve ever purchased, but I do love it. I think this will all depend on how long it lasts. As a high end mascara I do love it. For me it’s defiantly a splurge.

DIOR CREME DE ROSE PLUMPING LIP BALM REVIEW

I was finally able to get my hands on the Dior Creme De Rose Plumping lip balm recently and I have to say I’m impressed. I’ve been pretty disappointed lately with the new lip balm purchased I’ve done. The Nivea Lip Butter, while smelled and tasted amazing, I found left my lips looking dead with a layer of grey white gunk to go with it.

The Korres lip butters where not much better. They were so disappointing I actually returned them, which I rarely do.
So I decided to try the Dior Creme De Rose. Here is what Sephora says about the product:
What it is:A smoothing, plumping lip balm with SPF 10.What it does:Creme de Rose is a refined lip balm that soothes, re-plumps, hydrates, and protects the lips with SPF 10.This nourishing lip balm comes in one universal petal pink shade and features a delicate rose scent. What else you need to know: The sister product to Dior’s legendary Creme Abricot, a nail care product dating back to the 1960s, this product has the same classic white packaging.Lips are visibly hydrated: +32 (6h after application)

You can find the product and details here

While I’m not sure how much the balm plumps your lips, I do find it hydrating without being greasy. The light rose sent is very pleasant and not at all overwhelming. The pink tint goes on clear or you cannot see it on your lips.

When you first use the product you need to warm it up with your fingers a bit. I like to use it before bed and after I brush my teeth in the morning. I also find that it’s a great balm to use when you already have lipstick on and need a little hydration over the lipstick.

My lips do feel very hydrated and smooth after using the balm. I like the packaging and find it a very luxurious item to have on my nightstand or makeup table.

Sephora sells it for $27 plus tax. The price is a bit steep in my opinion, but I do like the balm quite a bit. I’d have to say that this is definitely a splurge item, but quite practical at the same time. This is something I use frequently and does a good job keeping my lips hydrated and smooth.
