Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I wanted to create a very soft, yet holiday themed makeup look for you.
To keep the look soft and romantic, I focused on creating a very glowing complexion.
Using pink, red, or burgundy eyeshadows can be very tricky, but if you mix it with mattes, neutrals, and blend the heck out of it, it can be done.

Valentine's Day is all about love, so show your love and appreciation to those in your life you love and care for. Hubs will be out of town working this year, so I'll be sharing it with my 2 fur babies and eating some sweets while watching romantic movies on the TV.

The holidays are always a busy time of year for all. My goal was to create a classic and simple look focusing on popping open the eye and a bold red lip. Nothing screams holidays more to me than a bold red lip.
For the face I kept everything very simple and clean. I wanted the products used to be items you'd already likely have in your makeup kit because who has time to go out and buy a whole new look during the holidays? All the shadows shades are very neutral and available in most eyeshadow palettes. Since it is a holiday look, I like to break out the false lashes on such occasions. I'm going a bit bolder in the lash department, but you can use accent lashes if these are too much for you.
Finally for the show piece of the look, my lips. The lip color I'm using is from hourglass and it's only $10! So even if you don't own a bold red lip, you can pick this one up rather cheap. It's pocket size, perfect for parties. The lip color is a liquid lipstick that leaves a nice stain and has long wearability without drying out my lips, perfect for sipping champagne.

The quote on the packaging makes me happy every time I read it. Being a child of the late 80's and 90's Pulp Fiction holds a dear place in my heart.
I was seriously suppressed at how large the mirror was and how useful it is. It doesn't distort or anything.
The shades are just so beautiful and so richly pigmented and creamy. Details of the shadows and swatches in my video.
The brush is actually really good for brow bone highlighting.
This lipstick combination is classy and sexy all in one. My husband about freaked out when he saw me wearing this. It's super creamy, hydrating, and lasts a really long time too. The name Mrs. Mia Wallace is pretty awesome too. Who doesn't want to be as cool as Mrs. Wallace?
Just beautiful right?! Even if your not a fan of Pulp Fiction, you can get the classic & sexy look with these really highly pigmented, beautiful to wear shades and products. I'll be reaching for all 3 items quite a bit.
If you've watched my youtube channel, ready any of my other posts, you'd know I am not the first to gravitate towards bold colors on the eyes. I prefer neutrals with maybe a pop of color here and there.
When the new Urban Decay Electric Palette came out I vowed not to buy it. I did everything in my power to avoid it all together, then I started to think of all the fun looks I could create for you guys! So what do I do? I buy it. Yes I failed at restraint, but I have a fancy new color wheel to work with and make lots of fun spring and summer eye looks for you now.
